Remove 11 obstacles and build successful links

Here is some of the common errors we, SEO
owners, often commit while link building. From my own experience I traced some
blocks that problematize building successful links and thought of gathering
them under one head for the sake of helping my fellow SEO owners and
professionals. These features come to us as pseudo-help but ultimately they
damage search engine ranks.
1) Prioritizing Quantity,
neglecting quality: Even the expert professionals are fallible to
this error. Quantity can never ever beat quality in any field of work. A
qualitatively superb link can sweep away 25 links. Visitors choose sites by
quality. With quality an unknown link becomes popular among a known circle and
then crosses its boundary. Google is also stressing on increasing the quality
of the links, it matters not if concentrating on quality actually reduces the
quantity of links.
2) Temptation for Mass
Article Submission: All SEO owners are more or less
tempted to publish one single article or content to different websites. If you
have learned this wrong tactics, let me be a guide to you as I have learned
from my own experience, Mass Article Submission is not always benefitting for
SEO. It may initially show good result but ultimately your link will lose page
rank. I am sure, you don’t want that!
3) Spinning the same Content:
Spinning content is similar to making a
presentation for a conference meeting, using the same in your blog, in social
networking websites. People often change some five or six words, add or remove
phrases or alter the sentence chronology and confidently use it in multiple
sites. Google no longer encourages spinning of contents. They demand flow of
creativity. Every unique site has its own separate set of visitors and even if
the visitors be the same in some cases, don’t you think they would not like to
read the same words and sentences again and again. It’s quite boring. You may
have experienced it yourself. And after all search engines are no fool not to
recognize duplicate contents.
4) Sending Mails Requesting
Guest Posts: Stop sending request to other bloggers
or site owners for publishing Guest Posts. If you really want your creativity
to get noticed among viewers stop begging of opportunities and carve a niche on
your own ability. Try to improve your own blog first.
5) Ignoring your own site: You may have created excellent contents for others’ sites but your
own site escaped your attention. Visitors who come across the link of your site
in the great links built by you, are disappointed to see your poorly built
site. I would suggest, pay attention to your own child because in the SEO
market it’s your own site that speaks for you.
6) Small Text Links/ Hiding
Text Links/ Buying Advertising : Manipulating
search engine ranks by hiding website links in emails in equal to spamming. And
it’s really not favorable.
7) Anchor Text Obsession: As you all know anchor text is the visible link in the hyperlink and
by clicking anchor text link one directly reaches the mentioned site. As anchor
texts are the easiest ways to get search engine ranks SEO professional tend to
use to more and more. Even Google’s Webmaster Tools pushes the maximization by
tracing most common words in anchor text. So, you can not totally shun using
anchor texts. It helps but too much of anything is bad. It’s really depressing
when we see only to get search engine ranks links are populated with anchor
text backlinks. However, after Penguin algorithm this practice is reduced.
8) New Page Submission for
getting Contact: Don’t run after business owners or clients stating
again and again that you can build such and such type of links and such and
such number of links for them on various c-class IPs. Let your links be of so
good quality that clients stand in a queue for working with you. There is
absolutely no need for Submission of Page of Contact.
9) Guest Posting: Stop using guest blogging unless and until you’re sure that the
person who is writing for your site has proper knowledge on the topic he / she
is writing. Best way is if you can interview the person before appointing for
guest posting. But I must admit, Guest Blogging if written by a knowledge-able
person who is updated in latest SEO news really helps.
10) Replacing “Content
Marketing” with “Link Building” : Content Marketing
and Link Building may be complementary but they are as different as the two
poles. Content Marketing satisfies customers by showcasing to them in content
form the exact things they want but it’s purpose is not to build links. Keep
these two separate. Use different contents for both of them. At least, for SEO
success you can invest that much of creativity.
11) Frequent Publishing of
Press Releases: Just for the matter of attracting
attention of viewers and gaining page ranks don’t publish press releases if
there is really nothing new to launch. May be next time when you have some real
news, nobody feels interested to visit your site!
